Working in fintech means adhering strictly to legal guidelines. I collaborated closely with the legal team for every post; frequently adjusting copy to meet compliance requirements while still delivering engaging content.

| Brand Tone & Voice

Robinhood’s core audience is primarily male millennials, so I balanced trendiness and wit in a way that wasn’t too Gen Z or feminine in style (as a female Gen-Zer, I found this a bit challenging). I had to adjust to a new voice—ensuring it resonated with the target demographic.

| Timing & Responsiveness

In the fast-paced social media world, I needed to respond quickly to trends or news relevant to Robinhood’s audience. Through this, I learned juggled speed with careful attention to brand integrity and accuracy.

As the jersey patch sponsor for the Washington Wizards, the Robinhood marketing team collaborated with Klutch Sports Group to have the newly drafted player (Alex Sarr) send fans a special video DM.

I had the opportunity to write the script for Alex—from the announcement to the DM that fans would receive. Through analyzing Alex's speaking style and natural tone, I created messaging that felt authentic to his voice while maintaining the announcement's purpose.
